Happy Enough

This was the first piece of my painting journey, and it captures my early struggles with my mental health. The figure’s face is divided—one side, turned outward toward the viewer in the pool, smiles brightly, reflecting the emotions shown to the world. The other side, hidden from sight, reveals sadness and pain. The painting is a reminder that appearances can be deceiving—someone who seems happy on the surface may be carrying heavy, unseen burdens. For me, it serves both as a call to check in on the people I love and as a personal reminder that it’s okay to share my less pleasant emotions with others. No struggle is worth facing alone.
