A month after the breakup, I found myself thinking less about what had happened, how it ended, and even the memories we created. While this is for the best, it carries a quiet sadness—someone I once gave space in my mind now fades into the distance, soon to be little more than memory.
This painting reflects that shift: an encroaching cloud covering the joy I once felt for what we shared and what I imagined we'd build together. Admiration and resentment blur into one another until, eventually, only indifference remains.
